D.I.Y. ~ DO IT YOURSELF

Basic Essential

Tools:
Sand paper, multi-purpose gum / Dunlop gum, paint brush, pencil, cutter, putty filler, paint.

Wall Preparation:
  1. For interior wall only, not recommended for exterior wall.
  2. Ensure the wall is not too rough. The board and gum will not stick well on rough surface.
  3. If the wall is too rough, please sand off using sand paper.
  4. If the wall has being applied with “Pearl Glo” paint, please sand off the surface using sand paper. The board and gum will not stick well on shiny wall.

Start the Fun:
  1. Put the board onto the wall and using the pencil to mark the outline of the board on the whole wall.
  2. This is to make the following work more fun and easier.
  3. Using paint brush to apply the Dunlop gum onto the wall as well as the back of the board.
  4. Immediately put the board onto the wall.
  5. You may put some pressure to ensure the board is fully paste onto the wall. Simply use your fist to knock against the board will do.
  6. Repeat step #3 and #4 for the others.
  7. During installation, please use the sequence of “from top to bottom” and “from one edge to another edge”. Whatever excess of board that needed to cut will be place at bottom or at one edge.
  8. After installation complete, there might be some seam between the boards. This is normal. You may use putty filler to cover the seam. Soon after dry, sand-off the dried filler with sand paper.

Post Installation:
  1. You may now paint the board with your choice of colour.
  2. You may also apply a base coat before the paint, so that the colour will be more dazzling.
